The area of the Alta Valle Camonica has always been associated with one name: Ponte di Legno, which has long been a destination for many tourists. Just 5 minutes’ drive from here, the municipality of Temù seems to demonstrate, however, that even the lesser known towns can hide some excellent gems.
The third largest municipality in the Alta Valle Camonica in terms of area, Temù is a lovely small town through which the River Oglio flows, hosting dozens of events in all seasons, some of international standing. Arte in Strada is one of these, but not the only one. The Brescia Calcio football team, which for the third year running has chosen Temù as its pre-championship training camp, has turned the town into an outdoor festival for all fans.
Those looking for peace and quiet will be equally satisfied. The long cycle route from Ponte di Legno to Vezza d’Oglio and the paths running through the forests will tempt you on to the saddle of your mountain bike to cycle into the heart of the Adamello. A new chairlift next year will offer trekking enthusiasts a pleasant ride to the Garibaldi Refuge and the Val d’Avio. The Presena glacier is just a few minutes from here: 4 ski lifts and 8 slopes connected to Ponte di Legno allows for uninterrupted skiing.
